Cassian: The Fathomless Warlock

DnD commission work I got to work on!

Here's the backstory from the client:
He was a junior member of the hunters’ guild, the Venatorum.
A naval hunt went disastrously wrong, and the ship he was on, along with all its crew,
was pulled under. He chose to live. At the time, he didn’t understand how he survived or
what it meant. His survival was taken as a sign he was ready for promotion. The hunts
he led on land were remarkably successful, eventually earning him a ship and crew of
his own. On their maiden voyage, they strayed too close to something, and Cassian felt
compelled to act. He watched his first mate sink into the depths before waking up in a
city for those now incompatible with their timeline.
