Beneath the Farthen Dûr mountain range, lies the huge dwarf city of Trondheim. This city is the dwarf capital that was carved under the intense mountain range and used for mining all types of resources and gems used during war/conflict. As such, they also had a large defensive army. This army however rarely engages in conflict outside of their fortified city. The majority of the civilian population rarely leave the safety of the fortified mountain city as well. When younger, Orik spent many years mining resources and in the dwarven army like many others do. After spending many years below ground, he longed for the open sky that he rarely saw while at the capital. On top the Farthen Dûr mountain range, the dwarves used small towns to hunt/cultivating crops/and breeding livestock for the population. These towns were entrenched in valleys engulfed by the mountain range and were tough for any outsider to reach. Orik found solace in hunting for his people and would become more and more comfortable traveling lower down into the valleys around the mountains to attain dangerous pelts and exotic meats. At this point he has been hunting for over 20 years and during his time has befriended a large grizzly bear he named Tre. He typically rides atop the bear while traveling and rarely visit heavily populated towns/cities except to drop off pelts/meat. While hunting, Tre will typically distract/engage with prey as Orik uses his crossbow to shoot from a distance. In case of emergencies, Orik has two hammers that he used during his time in the army. They are heavily worn and not nearly as shiny/new as the gold use to be. He uses his military experience to teach and hunt with Tre.
